Hello Sandwich is looking for a Tokyo-based intern!
Things are a little busy over here at Hello Sandwich
HQ with my new book deadline fast approaching so an immediate start
would be ideal. The role is 1-2 days per week with a flexible schedule.
Hello Sandwich Intern Position responsibilities include:
- Assisting on photo shoots
- Assisting on workshops
- Assisting with craft projects
- Sourcing materials for craft projects
- Retouching and editing photographs
- Blogging
- Research for craft projects
- Research for Tokyo city guides
- Basic errands
This flexible role will include working on location at
shoots or workshops, working from the candidates home, and from time to
time, working at Hello Sandwich HQ.
Proficiency in Photoshop essential
(InDesign and Illustrator proficiency a bonus). Extra points also go to
those with webdesign and graphic design skills.
The position is unpaid initially but with the possibility to lead to a paid Assistant role.

When I read it on instagram, I had a thought to leave my current position as an editor/graphic designer on my local magz, fly to Japan, meet her directly and asked (aka begging LOL) for the position... but to bad I couldn't do that T_T~
