Keeping Warm in Tokyo

It seemed like only a few weeks ago the weather theme in LoFT was 'keeping cool'. I stocked up on Magicool neck scarfs and even bought one for Mama-sando's puppy Schnaupi! But all of a sudden LoFT has released a winter catalogue. Think plaid, warm slippers, hot water bottles and donabe.

(Speaking of donabe - how cute is the softbank donabe set!)

It's 8 degrees here in Tokyo today - but I'm not complaining. You see, that's the thing about winter in Tokyo, keeping warm is just so cute! There is enough well designed bath salt packaging to keep you warm with a different design for a couple of months! My lovely friend Yuming has taken the hard work out of selecting which bath salts are right for you over here.

And how adorable are these character heated hokkairo packs!

Um, in case they were not cute enough already, they're also scented! The ones above are strawberry and grapefruit. You can also place the heated packs in these sweet covers.

Now how could you be upset with the weather with a strawberry scented bear in your pocket?

Stay warm sandwiches!

  3. Aw, all such cute packaging! I have a hand warmer already (although nowhere near as cute) it be a good idea to carry it around inside clothes when walking around in this cold weather.

  6. Oh, jealous! The only cute winter things I've seen so far in the UK are hot water bottle covers. They're pretty cosy though.

  7. The tips for keeping warm while cycling are emergency measures squarely aimed at cycling tragics such as myself who have on occasion found themselves out on a bike when the snow starts to fall. I assume your readers are smarter than I and would never find themselves in such a situation!

  10. very pretty collection you've got there.
I'm so curious, what is the Japanese secret for their graphic design? perfect purification? zillions of hours of hard work...it's so intriguing and mysterious to me... But the nice thing is, although I don't understand it (yet) I enjoy it every time.
    thanks for sharing.

Hello sun, oooo yes, but it's so cold that you'd probably find yourself using them here! But yes, you do need to be careful in Japan - too many lovely things to buy!

Hello Annemarie, ooo he he you should move to Tokyo then! ha ha! ;)

I've been saving up to go travel through Japan for a month after I graduate Uni in May, and I really hope I have enough for goodies such as these! Yurp. Like I'd be able to resist them anyway, right? hehe.

    Yay for Japan!
