This is a little story I produced and photographed on Hattifnatt cafe for Frankie Magazine's SPACES mook. It's one of my favourite cafes in Tokyo, I hope you can visit one day and sit in the little tree house.
What thats amazing congratulations! I would love to visit this café but first I would need a ticket to Japan.lol..Anyway I think you did a nice job, your photographs are really nice
That looks like a great book - I lived in Australia for a couple years, and loved Frankie. The cafe looks super!!! My husband and I met in Japan, and it's now on the places to go when we make a return visit =) Their website is great too - such a clever idea, and eases my yearning for Japan-sickness.
Renee and I loved the Kichijōji Hattifnatt, you didn't mention how child-friendly it was. There was a baby party underway when we went and Tallulah (our newborn) fit in nicely! We loved the animal murals (and so did all the children there)!
We are going to check out the Kōenji one before we leave it was so much fun!
Hello. I am Hello Sandwich. I am an Australian artist and graphic designer living in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo. I love Japan, bento boxes, pantone 107.3 and metallic hologram foil, polka dots and plaid, Holbein gouache and fluoro pencils and I have a huge crush on Japanese artist Hiroshi Sugito. I would like to share with you some of the things that inspire me. I hope you will enjoy.
