Tokyo Plastic Bags
It's been a while since I've posted about rubbish in Tokyo. I just adore these patterned Tokyo plastic bags. Polka dot, checkered and musical note graphic...even the plastic bags in Tokyo are cute!
Those who know Hello Sandwich well know that I have a deep interest in recycling and re-using (mama-sando might call this 'hoarding', but each to their own!) There are so many uses for these cute bags. You could make crochet plastic bag vessels like those made by Knitty Gritty Loopy for the We Craft This City exhibition at Sydney's Object Gallery.
Or you could make a plastic bag bow from the Hello Sandwich Gift Wrapping Zine.
No matter what you use them for, they are definitely too cute to go straight into the bin.
Love Love

ReplyDeleteWell, you may have a love for plastic bags, but when I was living in Japan I would collect paper bags. My favourites were the ones from omiyage stores. I collected them for collage, but now I don't think I want to use them at all as they are too nice!
