A lovely picnic on みどりの日 (Greenery Day) in beautiful Shinjuku Gyoen. Sandwiches, hot green tea, reading books in the sunshine, watching kawaii kids throw balls and roll down grass hills, so many colourful leisure sheets, people taking photos of flowers, afternoon naps on the grass relaxing with sounds of chatter and laughter. This is one of the prettiest parks ever.

Hello Lina! Thank you so much for your nice words! Instagram is so addictive! ha ha that was actually the older sister of the little boy! The mama was sitting near us! But yes still hilarious the baby had other ideas in mind! It was the cutest little boy! adorable! I wanted to squeeze his little chubby cheeks!

Hello Liv, Thanks for commenting! It was so nice to be hidden away in the park but from some sections closer to the train station you could look up and see the buildings of Shinjuku. Convenient to drop in for some stationery essentials on the way home!

  21. Hello Chloe, Yes it's hardly the 'Ghost town' the media refers to! I liked seeing everyone around. It made me feel safer. It was nice to see everyone in Tokyo relaxing and enjoying the park together after a stressful time of late.
