Shioya Diner, Naoshima
Hello Sandwiches!
I am in Takamatsu, Kagawa for my mt masking tape workshops! Mr Y flew here with me and stayed for the weekend and on our arrival we took the ferry straight to Naoshima, a lovely art island. I can't tell you how beautiful this island is and if you have the chance, I recommend a visit! We rented bicycles and rode around the lovely nostalgic island. I felt as though (in only a few hours) that I had come far far away from Tokyo. Part of Naoshima's charm is that it has a lovely holiday feeling teamed with my favourite style old Japanese homes and potted gardens. Nearby to our rental cycle shop we found this super cute American retro cafe called Shioya. Seriously, you must stop in here if you're in Naoshima. It's run by the sweetest team and you can order American diner inspired food such as hot dogs (which come with potato chips), hamburgers and toast sandwiches. Naturally, everything here is served on super cute retro style plates. You'll enjoy sitting in the sun streaming in through the window, listening to cute retro music and gazing at all of the lovely retro ornaments. Be sure to visit Shioya!
More photos of lovely Naoshima to come!
