Umeshu

Photobucket
My new Choya Umeshu thanks to Mr Y's Japan package!

My 一番 favourite のみもの to drink in Japan is umeshu. I like umeshu best on the rocks with chotto soda, but some people prefer to drink with lots of soda. Oh to be sitting under a kotatsu drinking umeshu right now...

Recently I have seen a few 'make your own umeshu' recipes and blog posts popping up. Wouldn't it be wonderful to make your own!
