More Kitazawa! I want to live here! My favorite is the vending machine with all the drinks~vending machines are always one of my favorites outside of the US!
Your photos are amazing however the vending machine holds a special place in my heart. The vending machines in Japan was one of my favorite things about my short period of time I spent there.
Hello Underwerket, Thank you for your comment and your nice words about my instagram photographs.
Hello Kaisu, I am sure the photos you take are nicest for your tumblr! :) Thanks for your kind words :)
Hello Samantha, Vending machines are so convenient aren't they! At the moment I am obsessed with the Mandarin flavour water from Ilohas :)
Hello Anna bo, nawww it's such a Japanese neat thing isn't it. Sometimes it's in a little pile outside my door but for some reason it always looks so neat. With the recycling for my apartment and ward you have to wash empty plastic containers (like a bento box for instance) I mean what other country makes you wash your own rubbish! I'm used to it now though. We also have to tie all of our paper recycling - magazines, boxs and books only into a little neat stack with string. It's a full time job. :)
Hello Amelie, Thanks so much! I am so happy you could enjoy them!
Hello Tana, Thanks for your kind words about the photographs. Shimokitazawa is a lovely place. I hope you have the chance to visit one day :)
I love instagram too. The 'early bird' filter is my favourite, I'm obsessed! These are such great photos, my favourites are the neatly lined up rubbish bags!
Haha love the rubbish! ...and I was always so taken with that little blue door and mint window frame on T Bar... but it never looked open? I always wanted to sneak a peak inside... Perhaps I always passed by it at the wrong time! Love these pics サンドちゃん makes me still feel totally in the 下北沢 loop! x
I'm amazed by the neat placement of the trash bags on trash day... where I live in NY state (Long Island) the garbage men would never take the time to pick up a line of bags; it's hard enough to get them to empty one or two garbage cans placed in front of your house! One of the wonderful differences about the Japanese culture, and one that I wish we had here.
Hello Banana meet-cute, Thanks for your comment! Oh I love earlybird and I also love Nashville! Wish it had a white frame though - the black is too heavy I find. But I'm not complaining! I love instagram!
Hello Thelittlesketchbook, Thanks for your comment! No you are right, none of those in Sydney. I am from Sydney ;)
Hello Tiffany, I wish you would come back. Then you could really be in the 'Shimokitazawa loop' - though today is raining - not so much fun!
Hello Yoli, nawww thank you!
Hello Jennifer! Oh yeah it must be so hard for the rubbish collectors! Poor things. But I guess Toyko is so jam packed there isn't much room for leaving giant rubbish bins out on the street.
Hello Make It Easy, Yes you should visit Japan soon :)
Hello. I am Hello Sandwich. I am an Australian artist and graphic designer living in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo. I love Japan, bento boxes, pantone 107.3 and metallic hologram foil, polka dots and plaid, Holbein gouache and fluoro pencils and I have a huge crush on Japanese artist Hiroshi Sugito. I would like to share with you some of the things that inspire me. I hope you will enjoy.
i love these! i love the moments you capture.
